Your home is a full of equipment and devices to make your life more comfortable and pleasant. The em·power system helps control and coordinate these items so you don’t have to. The em·power system features multiple interfaces to control your home.

Touchscreen- The em·power system utilizes a simple icon-driven touchscreen as the primary graphical user interface. Icons are universal for communicating the control capabilities of em·power. For example, a light bulb indicates lighting control, a lock for interactive security features, and a thermometer for heating and cooling control. In addition to being a point of control for em·power, the touchscreen also features a built-in thermostat for a single zone of HVAC control for immediate energy management benefit without additional hardware.

Smart Keys are a simple key fob that easily fits on a key chain for one touch arming & disarming of the em·power’s interactive security system by specific users. In addition to arming and disarming benefits, each Smart Key can perform automation features such as turning the lights off when leaving or on when entering. A Smart Key uses a Smart Key Reader to communicate with the em·power system.

The Smart Key Reader is the convenient control interface for quick arming & disarming of the em·power system by the Smart Key. The Smart Key Reader will only recognize each Smart Key programmed into the system and will recognize each user independently. For example, one user may be configured to only arm and disarm the system as normal, whereas another user may have specific controlled lights turn on or off based upon entry, exit, status, event and condition.
