Remembering the lights in your home can be tiring and inconvenient. Is the house dark and foreboding when you come home in the evening? Did the lights get turned off when you went to bed? When you are on vacation, is a dark house an open invitation to thieves or vandals. The em·power system can be the solution to these and many other lighting control situations.

Examples of some lighting and outlet peripherals that can function with the em·power system.
Smart Switch
Each Smart Switch is X10 addressable and comes in three styles; 600 watts, 1,000 watts and Multi-way companion. The 600 and 1,000 watt models serve as the primary load controller. The companion switches are for multiple switch legs to that control a single lighting load. Each switch allows for 0% to 100% illumination values with a gentle rocker action. Smart Switches are fully controllable by the em·power system.
Smart Outlet
Smart Outlets are similar to Appliance Modules, yet they look like normal outlets rather than an inline device. Each Smart Outlet is X10 addressable and has a 3-pin plug configuration. Typically the bottom outlet is controlled and the top outlet is continuously live.
Heavy Duty Remote Controlled Relay Module
Each HD Relay Module is ideal for general purpose switching of large appliances such as hot water heaters, dryers, baseboard heat, air conditioners etc. The HD Relay Module can control one 220v device or two 110V devices.
6 or 8 Button Controllers
The 6 or 8 button controllers transmit On/Off commands for sequential addresses set to the same letter code. 6 or 8 button controllers are perfect for triggering em·power scenes from a remote location within the house.
Lamp Module
Each lamp module is X10 addressable, capable of a maximum of 300 watts and is an incandescent dimmer. Each module plugs directly into an outlet and the lamp plugs into the module, allowing the em·power system to control the lamp.
Appliance Module
Each appliance module is X10 addressable and has a 3-pin plug configuration. Each module plugs into an outlet and the appliance plugs into the module, allowing the em·power system to control the on/off status of the appliance.
