Safety
Among its many control benefits, the em·power system
features an integrated, state-of-the-art security system that
interacts directly with energy management and lighting features.
For example, when closing an em·power equipped store
at night, the assistant manager simply touches a ‘Smart
Key’ to the Key Reader to lock the doors, arm the built-in
security system and trigger em·power to perform additional
tasks, including, but not limited to:
• Turn off all unnecessary lights, appliances and other
devices that may be
commonly left on, maximizing energy management and property
protection.
• Activate Hi-Lo temperature sensors in the walk-in coolers
and freezers, which
constantly monitor current temperature to maintain optimum operational
range.
If the temperature drifts out of range, em·power will
call and warn maintenance
of a problem.
• In the event that an employee forgets to arm em·power
when they leave, the
same operation can be triggered automatically at a preset time
or remotely by
an authorized user via the interactive phone menu. |
Energy
The em·power system can save significant sums of money
by allowing your business to always operate in energy efficient
modes without sacrificing comfort. Energy saving features of
em·power include:
• Each touchscreen incorporates a built-in thermostat for complete
HVAC control; including programmable set point scheduling and
automatic setback when the last employee leaves. Additionally,
em·power is equipped with an access-protected voice menu
for making adjustments either through an internal phone or via
remote call-in.
• Controlled lights & appliances can be configured to automatically
save energy
at night and during periods of no occupancy.
• The temperature of the building can be monitored to prevent
the heating and
cooling system from being misused and also utilize different
set points at
different times of the day. Example: 78° overnight and early
AM and 73° during
the active day. |

air-conditioning set points to automatically adapt.

or triggered by any
